Session Five Reading Assignments

Fear Fighters book

Chapter 6, The Fear of Not Having Enough

Recession, foreclosure, unemployment, bankruptcy, inflation, fraud, corruption and economic downturns are all fear-laced words. Millions of people are not just hearing them; they are also living one or more of these dire financial scenarios. Attack your lack. First of all, remember that God is Master in times of disaster. Do you find yourself, at times, nervous or afraid about your financial situation? You need to remind yourself that God is your source of provision. Your God is FOR you. He desires to see you prosper and to enjoy what He has blessed you with. Living with a mindset that says my Lord is FOR me and wants to see me do well is a choice. Choices have consequences and so many times when trouble comes, we have a tendency to withhold, to draw back in our giving. Giving is a choice, and it's impossible to stay faithful in without faith. Givers gain. They just do, and this has been proven over and over again, and it is a primary weapon you have as you attack your lack. Stewardship is a responsibility and while fear will tell you to withhold, faith will always tell you to give and release is a pre-requisite to release from your lack. Prosperity has a purpose and levels. God knows how to move you from financial lack to abundance.
