Sermon Notes
Jesus is touched by your infirmities and is reaching back out to touch you. Human beings are made to be touched. Without it, you’ll die. How much more will you die spiritually without the touch of God? Are you still reaching and receiving a touch from God?
Key Scriptures:
Hebrews 4:14-15; Matthew 24:12; Genesis 3:9; Ephesians 4:19; Luke 7:14-15; Mark 5:27-28; Luke 10:40-42
Key Points:
- Don’t get used to not receiving a touch from God. One sign that you’ve not received a touch from God recently is that you stop reaching out to God to receive one. The longer you go without a touch from God, the more it becomes normal to you. Don’t allow yourself to be a Christian who is never touched by the hand of God. Even Bible reading, praying, and attending church can become a religious routine without a touch of God. People are surrounded by likes, followers, and online friends, but nothing can replace the fullness and satisfaction that comes from receiving a touch from God.
- Man was made to be touched by God. The first human experience was a touch from God when He created Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. But sin made Adam and Eve run and hide from God, and it’s doing the same thing today. But one touch from the Master’s hand can give you peace and purpose and fill the void only God can fill. You’re only one touch away from a new outlook and a new life.
- Jesus wants to touch you again. God wants to touch you even after your failure, stagnation, or numbness. Prolonged numbness is a sign that something is seriously wrong. But no matter what you’ve done, God still wants to put His hand on your life.
- Don’t let Satan throw you a funeral. Even if your prayer life, praise, purpose, or purity is dead, one touch from God can bring you back to life. It’s time to get up and speak! God can touch your coffin. One touch can change everything in your life.
- Reach out and touch God. Just because you’re around Jesus and in his presence doesn’t mean you get a touch. When you touch God, He stops, forgets about the crowd, and touches you. Sometimes, the busiest people in the ministry never receive a touch from God. Don’t let the business of life become carnal by not receiving a touch of God on your life.
Final Thoughts:
When God touches your heart, you become the person He’s called you to be. How long has it been since you’ve felt the tender touch of God? Reach out again today by faith and receive a touch from the King.
